Continuity Of Operations Plans (COOP)

Our process addresses the essential elements and support capabilities of the COOP planning process:

  • Program plans and procedures to establish objectives and requirements that are measured by metrics,
  • Budgeting and acquisition of resources,
  • Essential functions,
  • Orders of succession,
  • Tests, Training and Exercises (TT&E) to develop and conduct tests, training and exercises to identify areas for improvement,
  • Evaluations, After-Action Reports and Lessons Learned based on TT&E, and
  • Corrective Action Plans to resolve deficincies in the Continuity Plan.

The LSH Group utilizes the Federal Emergency Management model for Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) initiatives. Utilizing this contingency planning model will enable public or private sector organizations to continue to perform essential functions during a wide range of emergencies, including acts of nature, accidents and technological or attack-related emergencies which the community depends on for sustaining their personal safety, source of income and quality of life. We follow the established Continuity Program Management Cycles.

CONTINUITY PROGRAM

MANAGEMENT CYCLE

In  the  Continuity  Program  Management  Cycle,   an organization’s ability to  perform its essential  functions are based  on  four pillars – leadership, staff, facilities and communications which are built on the foundation of continuity planning and program management.

                                  SIX STEP PROCESS

Through   this  continual   six  step  process,  requirements  are identified and new  solutions are implemented.  The Continuity Planning model represents a continual process for developing, validating and refining the continuity plan.
